Joe Willis
Bachelor of Physiotherapy (First Class Honours), ASCA Level 1 Strength & Conditioning, Level 1 Reformer Pilates, Level 1 Dry Needling
Joe has always had a strong interest in sport, strength training and physical performance. His involvement across football, rugby, touch football, basketball and gym-based training naturally developed into an interest in physiotherapy and helping people return to the activities they enjoy. Since graduating from the University of Queensland in 2021 (First Class Honours), Joe has gained extensive experience treating musculoskeletal and sporting injuries, while also working alongside sporting teams across NPL football, GPS rugby and basketball.
Joe specialises in:
- Sports and musculoskeletal injury assessment
- Strength testing and functional assessment
- Exercise and gym-based rehabilitation
- Manual therapy and dry needling
- Pre and post-operative rehabilitation
His approach combines evidence-based physiotherapy with progressive exercise rehabilitation and strength and conditioning principles. Joe aims not only to reduce pain, but to identify contributing factors, restore strength and function, and help his patients confidently return to work, exercise and sport.
He has a particular interest in shoulder and knee injuries, sporting injuries, and post-operative rehabilitation.
Outside of work, Joe is a regular gym-goer and enjoys a wide range of sports, including football, touch football and basketball.
