WorkCover Physiotherapy Brisbane City
Return to work, without the guesswork
If you’ve been injured at work (or on the way to or from work), you want two things: help with the pain and a clear path through the process. AHF Physiotherapy provides WorkCover physiotherapy in Brisbane City, right on Queen Street in the CBD, so you can book around your workday.
Workers' compensation claims
WorkCover is Queensland’s workers’ compensation insurer. If you’re injured at work you may be eligible to make a workers’ compensation claim with WorkCover. If your claim is accepted, WorkCover may be able to help cover treatment costs and may pay some of your wages if you’re off work recovering.
In Queensland, physiotherapy services are funded in line with WorkCover’s fee schedules and approval processes. Currently, this includes up to 5 pre-approved sessions (including the initial consultation). If additional treatment is required, your physiotherapist must submit a Provider Management Plan (PMP).
I've been injured at work. What do I do?
If you’ve been injured at work or on your way to/from work:
- See your doctor ASAP
Ask for a Work Capacity Certificate (you need this before you make a claim). - Tell your employer
WorkCover will contact them if you lodge a claim, so tell them early and give them a copy of the work capacity certificate. If your employer self-insures, you’ll need to contact them directly to make a claim. - Lodge your claim with WorkCover Queensland
Fastest way is online. You can also call 1300 362 128 or submit a form. - Book your WorkCover Initial Physio Consultation at AHF Physiotherapy
Bring your details (please read below). We’ll take it from there.
What to bring to your consultation
To keep your first consultation smooth, please bring:
- WorkCover Claim Number
- Your current Work Capacity Certificate (valid medical certificate from your doctor)
- Any scans/reports you’ve been given (if relevant)
If your claim hasn’t been approved yet, we can’t bill WorkCover directly – you’ll need to pay for the appointment on the day. Once your claim is accepted, you can lodge your invoice with WorkCover to request reimbursement.
